Spark is a suite of AI-driven analysis tools designed to help non-profits and advocacy organizations maximize their digital fundraising potential. I developed Spark’s branding and designed its pre-launch landing page, driving early sign-ups and establishing a strong foundation for the product’s success.
Challenge
Designing a brand that resonated with progressive grassroots organizations while standing out from other more overly broad AI tools.
Creating a landing page that clearly communicates Spark’s value proposition and generated high-quality leads.
Branding Process & Strategy
After the initial discovery call with the client, I began by researching competitors in the AI and mission-driven tech spaces and identifying our key audience. To ensure we aligned with the client's vision and expectation for the brand, we presented moodboards to further narrow our strategy and design direction.
After multiple iterations we crafted a tech-forward logo featuring a vibrant, optimistic color palette to convey Spark’s innovation and mission-driven focus. The logomark, seen above, subtly referenced the “spark” concept, representing the tool’s miraculous results for non-profits.
Landing Page
With the brand finalized, I designed a responsive launch landing page emphasizing Spark’s key features, benefits, and pre-launch client success stories. I applied clear storytelling to create an intuitive user experience and clearly communicate the value proposition. I collaborated closely with developers, providing design direction and handling the design-to-developer handoff to ensure flawless execution and a speedy launch.
Results & Impact
The landing page generated significant early interest, capturing dozens of high-value leads. Spark’s branding and digital presence contributed to its impressive first-year performance, with $11.3 million raised via email activation across its client base, accounting for 23% of total funds raised by Spark AI users.
Role & Responsibilities
Created Spark’s complete brand identity, including logo, color palette, and typography in collaboration with Vania Myers.
Designed and optimized the pre-launch landing page for lead generation.
Communicated directly with the client and the developers for edits and implementation of the design.
Designed OOH billboard ads and collateral for trade conventions and events.
